diurnal to the shimmering azure skies
of the sun's waking hours
promising the footfalls of a sweatborn rebirth
into the callouses of the yesterdays,
the blisters of the coming year
she waits, in limbo
the diurn's child.
laying quiet plees upon the whispers of the moon for the
restitude of her kin, passing the night ledden lidded. oblivious to her
quietly shining eye, spawning the coolness of the night.

this girl with one eye cast in midnight and the other blazing sky blue:: said she had no friends, only her mama, one brother and some alpacas. alpacas are her favorite animal. she was hungry. i gave her some maize and talked with her a bit. she spoke quietly, her gaze lost into the distance. many children dress up in peru, that tourists may take their picture for a nuevesol. everyday she experiences life as an exotic ambassador into the shining material wealth worn on the faces of those who pass by, from the 'western' world, yet returns home in the mountains to an existence meeted out within the resigned physical poverty of life for the inhabitants of peru's exquisite canyon country.
those eyes are unreal.. beautiful portrait. a story worth hearing, even if depressing.. I hope she's well and is able to blossom into something more than a pretty image.
-- My cat is dead But I have decided not to make a big tragedy of it.
nope. those shocking eyes were exactly what stared back at my from the other side of the bench... she was truly an exquisite little girl.. as all of the street children of peru were to me.
thank you for your kindness of stopping by..

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

I have to ask - were the eyes edited?
As for the rest, nicely composited and well lit. Nice job!
